President Milos Zeman of the Czech Republic Meets with Wang Yi

On October 13 local time, President Milos Zeman of the Czech Republic met at the presidential office in Prague with Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Milos Zeman expressed that he was glad to attend the commemoration on September 3 on behalf of the Czech Republic to review the history and commemorate the hard-won victory together with the Chinese people. Bilateral relations have enjoyed a sound development over the last two years and bilateral practical cooperation has made important progress. Constructing "Belt and Road" is in line with interests of all countries and the Czech Republic will take an active part. The Czech Republic will deepen cooperation in such areas as economy, trade and finance and promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges with China to constantly advance bilateral relations.

Wang Yi said that President Milos Zeman's attendance of the commemoration on September 3 embodied his respect to history, affirmation on the contribution of the battlefield in the East to the victory of the World War II and friendly affection to the Chinese people. China spoke highly of the important efforts of President Milos Zeman in improving and developing bilateral relations. Currently, bilateral relations have returned onto the correct track and bilateral all-round cooperation is making important progress. Both sides should keep the sound development momentum of bilateral relations on the basis of respecting each other's core interests and major concerns. China will, together with the Czech Republic, maintain high-level exchanges, constantly promote mutual trust, construct "Belt and Road", tap potential of mutually beneficial cooperation, expand bilateral trade and investment, and boost cooperation and exchanges in infrastructure, industry, science, technology, finance and people-to-people and cultural engagement to achieve common development and prosperity.
