From 16 to 18 September, Mr. ZHOU Xiaochuan, President of China Society for Finance and Banking and advisor for China Center of International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE), led a delegation consisting of prestigious Chinese think tanks to the EU. President Zhou attended a meeting on China-US-EU trade relations, co-organized by CCIEE and Bruegel. He also met with Vice President Jyrki Katainen of the European Commission. The delegation was accompanied by Ambassador Zhang Ming, Head of the Chinese Mission to the EU.

During their visit, the delegation and the EU representatives had candid and in-depth discussions with China-EU relations, China-EU economic and trade cooperation, China-US-EU trade relations, in addition to other topics. Both sides share the view that it is important to enhance communication and mutual trust in a joint effort to uphold multilateralism and free trade.
