On the afternoon of June 2, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang, President Donald Tusk of the European Council and President Jean-Claude Juncker of the European Commission jointly met the press, introducing the outcomes of the 19th China-EU summit.

Li Keqiang expressed that under the current international situation, both China and the EU advocate to safeguard free trade, abide by international rules, and push economic globalization towards a more inclusive, mutually beneficial and fairer direction. Both sides should uphold the principle of mutual respect and equal treatment, respect each other's choice of development paths according to respective national conditions, and respect the diversity of civilizations, in a bid to jointly safeguard world peace, stability, development and prosperity.

Li Keqiang stressed that both sides have communicated on the EU's fulfillment on obligations in the Article 15 of the Protocol on China's Accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The Chinese side thinks that WTO regulations must be observed, and the EU should earnestly fulfill the obligations in the Article 15 of the Protocol on China's Accession to the WTO, so as to jointly send out a positive signal of respecting multilateral rules and international orders. Noticing the EU has been revising relevant laws in this regard, the Chinese side hopes that relevant revisions could be in line with WTO regulations and nondiscriminatory.

Donald Tusk and Jean-Claude Juncker expressed that they held a constructive and fruitful meeting with Premier Li Keqiang. As important strategic cooperation partners, both the EU and China attach great importance to developing bilateral relations and cooperation. Respective successes and bilateral cooperation conform to the common interests of both sides. Through this meeting, both sides have promoted consensus, narrowed differences, and enhanced willingness to cooperate. The EU side stands ready to, together with China, deepen cooperation in climate change, and jointly implement the Paris Agreement, and bring welfare to the whole world. Both sides conducted earnest discussions on the fulfillment on obligations in the Article 15 of the Protocol on China's Accession to the WTO and other topics of common concern, and have expanded consensus and narrowed differences.

Leaders of both sides also answered questions including China-EU relations, and international and regional hotspot issues.
