ROK Prime Minister Goh Kun Sends a Telegram to Premier Wen Jiabao on SARS (01/05/2003)

On April 30, 2003, ROK Prime Minister Goh Kun sent a
telegram to Premier Wen Jia bao, extending deep consolation
to the recent breakout of severe acute respiratory syndrome
(SARS) in China. Goh Kun said that under the leadership of
the Chinese government, the Chinese people have been
combating the SARS epidemic with great efforts and unity.
Goh said that he is glad to learn that the SARS situation in
some parts of China has been alleviated. He also expressed
his belief that the epidemic in China will be controlled at
an early date and all SARS patients will recover soon. He
finally hoped that China will maintain its economic
development and prosperity.
