Curriculum Vitae of H.E. Mr Wu Hailong

Mr. Wu was born in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in February 1955 and is a University graduate.
1974-1978   Beijing Foreign Studies University. 
1978-1981   A Staff member of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). 
1981-1986   Attaché and Third Secretary of the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for 
                    Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). 
1986-1988   The Third Secretary, and later the Second Secretary, of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, MFA. 
1988-1992   The Second Secretary, and later the First Secretary, of the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations. 
1992-1996   The First Secretary, and later the Deputy Director, of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, MFA. He was 
1996-1999   The Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the State of Israel. 
1999-2001   The Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, MFA. 
2001-2004   The Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Hong Kong 
                    Special Administrative Region. 
2004-2006   The Permanent Representative, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to 
                    The United Nations and other International Organizations in Vienna, Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations
                    Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the International Atomic Energy 
                    Agency (IAEA).
2006-2009   The Director-General, Department of International Organizations and Conferences, MFA. 
2009-2012   The Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs responsible for International Organizations and Conferences, Arms Control.
