2014/11/09

In the afternoon of November 9, 2014, Primer Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha of Thailand at the Great Hall of the People.

Li Keqiang welcomed Prayuth Chan-ocha to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leadership Meeting in China. Li Keqiang expressed that we held a meeting on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit in Milan not long ago, agreeing to well implement the established consensus and agreements between the two countries and advance China-Thailand cooperation in all fields. I hope that both sides could, taking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between the two countries next year as an opportunity, enhance exchanges and deepen cooperation, so as to translate the profound friendship between the two countries into tangible results and practically benefit the two peoples, further cultivating the "China and Thailand are one family".

Li Keqiang noted that intensifying China-Thailand practical cooperation in all fields is of great significance to deepening bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. China and Thailand comprehensively planning cooperation in railway and agricultural product trade and reaching principle and consensus will strongly push bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, investment, finance, people-to-people and cultural and other fields for new results. China appreciates the great efforts of Thailand as the country coordinator for the relations between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the past three years, and will work with Thailand to promote China-ASEAN relations for greater development.

Prayuth Chan-ocha said that Thailand and China are as intimate as one family. Thailand attaches great importance to its relations with China, and will firmly implement cooperation agreements and consensus reached by both sides and advance cooperation in railway, agriculture, economy, trade and other areas, so as to push forward Thailand-China relations and ASEAN-China relations for greater development.
