In the afternoon of October 14 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with President Vladimir Putin of Russia at the Kremlin in Moscow.

Li Keqiang first conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President Xi Jinping to President Vladimir Putin. Li Keqiang said that China and Russia have always respected each other, treated each other as equals, respected each other's development path conforming to their own national conditions and supported each other on issues regarding core interests and major concerns. Chinese Premier and Russian Prime Minister have held 19 regular meetings, fully manifesting the long-lasting and stable characters of bilateral relations. The just-concluded meeting yielded fruitful results and will strongly promote the in-depth development of bilateral practical cooperation.

Li Keqiang pointed out that China and Russia are the largest neighbors to each other and bilateral cooperation are highly complementary and enjoy broad prospect. I hope both sides join efforts to further expand the scale of two-way trade and investment and push bilateral cooperation in energy, finance, high-speed rail and all the other areas for important progress, so as to boost the two countries' development and better benefit the two peoples, which is also conducive to advancing peace and stability in the world as well as regional prosperity and development.

Vladimir Putin asked Li Keqiang to convey his kind greetings to President Xi Jinping. Although global economy was in recession last year, the trade volume between the two countries had remained a high-speed growth and almost reached 100 billion USD, the goal set by the two countries for the year of 2015. These results are achieved by joint efforts of the two governments. The regular meeting between the two Prime Ministers scored abundant achievements and both sides have signed multiple cooperative documents. It is believed that Li Keqiang's visit will inject powerful driving force into Russia-China cooperation in all fields. A famous Chinese saying goes, "Ascend another story to see a thousand miles."
