Li Keqiang Meets with Prime Minister Cai-Göran Alexander Stubb of Finland

In the morning of October 17 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Cai-Göran Alexander Stubb of Finland in Milan.

Li Keqiang said that China-Finland relations are very strong, standing at the forefront of China's relations with western countries. The two economies are highly complementary. The two sides should expand two-way investment to promote cooperation in such fields as scientific and technological innovation, ecological and environmental protection, and information communication. China is willing to work with Finland to, taking the opportunity of next year's 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between China and Finland, make good planning for the roadmap of China-Finland high level cooperation in various fields, so as to promote the China-Finland relationship for greater development.

Li Keqiang stressed that China appreciates Finland's open attitude towards China's participation in the Arctic cooperation, and is willing to continue to maintain communication and coordination with Finland in international and regional affairs. China attaches importance to the development of the relations with the European Union (EU). It is hoped that Finland continues to play the positive role in the EU for the development of China-EU relations.

Stubb said that China has made great achievements in its reform and opening-up. China's sustainable and rapid economic development has vigorously promoted the growth of the world economy. Finland highly values its relations with China and is willing to further expand the bilateral cooperation in such fields as science and technology, communication, clean energy and clean technology, so as to promote the Finland-China relationship and the EU-China cooperation for more achievements.
